Dates announced for Glasgow Christmas Markets
Written by News on 12th September 2018
The festive season is fast approaching, and what Christmas would be complete without Glasgow’s famous markets.
Whether it’s shopping for gifts, staring longingly at red and green trinkets or sipping on delicious mulled wine, the markets have something for everyone.
The markets bring with them a range of continental stalls, and are an institutional part of the Glasgow Loves Christmas celebrations.
When are they?
Stalls outside the St Enoch’s centre will pop up on Monday-Wednesday from 10am-9pm and on Thursday-Sunday from 10am-10pm. And the best part? They’ll run from November 9 to December 23.
Just around the corner, George Square will once again be filled with more festive fun. Food and drink, gifts and amusements will run on Monday-Wednesday from 10am-9pm and Thursday-Sunday from 10am-10pm.
George Square’s festivities will begin slightly later than the markets, with the event planned to go live from November 25 until December 31.
Speaking on their Facebook page, the George Square event said: “Join us at George Square for the Glasgow Christmas Market full of traditional festive gifts and delicious street food, plus fun fairground rides and plenty of family focused street performance.
”We also have our sister Christmas Market at St Enoch Square this year, with a wide selection of festive gifts and delicious street foods to enjoy.
