Call for animal lovers to donate disinfectant to shelter

Written by on 2nd October 2018

The Scottish SPCA is calling for animal lovers in Glasgow to help animals in their care.

The charity are looking for donations of a special kind of disinfectant, Anigene, to help bring injured animals back to health.

Scotland’s animal welfare charity cares for thousands of animals that have been abused, injured or abandoned each year, across Scotland.

Anna O’Donnell, manager of the Scottish SPCA’s animal rescue and re-homing centre in Cardonald said: “Due to the large number of animals that we rescue the Society is fighting a constant battle against different types of infection.

“We aim to protect every animal against infection while they are in our care and we currently use Anigene on a daily basis to help prevent this.

“We do not receive any government funding and rely on donations to continue our work. Because of this, any donations of Anigene would be extremely beneficial and hugely appreciated.

“Anigene can be donated to our centres through our Amazon wishlist, or by purchasing on a third-party site such as Viovet and having it delivered to our centres. Alternatively you can drop any donations into one of our animal rescue and rehoming centres in person.”
